Fuel Vent Lines

I moved my 55 chevy truck tank out of the cab and got a new tank that fits under the bed. There are three holes in the top of the tank:

1-Filler hole
2-Sending Unit hole
3-Vent hole

The vent hole is threaded, and I don't know the best way to vent the tank. Are there valves that should basically sit on top of the tank, or should I run hoses away from the tank with a filter on the end? Obviously I know little to nothing about what I am doing with this thing, so I would appreciate any help.

The vent hole should be ported to a roll over valve that will prevent fuel from coming out the vent if the vehicle is rolled.
