full gauge reads full

My 68 el camino fuel gauge was working fine and now it seems to be stuck on full. With or with out power, the gauge will not move off of full. What can I do???

Probably the ground wire has come off/rusted off of the sending unit on the tank.

Most of the time it is just a faulty ground. Run a jumper to check it.
