Funny photos from the body shop today.

What you have here is a "Bumper Biscuit". It's made when one car rear ends another and the exhaust tail pipe of the car being hit punches a hole in the front bumper of the car hitting it. In this case, both cars ended up in our shop and the "biscuit" was found in the tail pipe of the car that hit it!

By the say, when one car is hitting another like this the rear end is usually up on the front car because he is applying his brakes and the rear cars nose is diving because of the same thing.

So the bumpers don't match, in this case the Mercedes that hit the Subaru is a total loss!

clean cut. I've seen clean bolt holes from licence plate brackets and outline of tailpipes but never a clean cut like that. Awesome.

Finding screws stuck backwards into rear bumpers is also common. The car that hits them has a license plate screwed into the front bumper. The heads of the screws puncture the rear bumper of the car they hit, the head of the screw gets caught in the rear bumper and when the car separate the screw stays in the rear bumper with the threaded end sticking out!
