Doc here,

Should be located on the Battery Side of the solenoid , 10 gauge secondary wire on that post...or depending on how wired, on the horn relay (Old Chevy).

May also be a Maxi fuse...not sure on a Ford that old though..

i've never seen a fusible link, on any 60s ford, connected to the starter solenoid i've ever worked on - and that would be quite a few! i know that on 64.5-68 mustangs there was only 3 fuses in the entire car: panel lights, cigarette lighter, and the dome light, i believe. everything else ran through mechanical switches, which can be a pain to diagnose at times (non-constant resistance problems are somewhat tricky to pinpoint).

Doc here,

Not being a Ford guy..I guess I should have said...."If I were to install one...It world be on the battery side of the solenoid.."

Sorry "bout that...
