I painted an old tool box pink once.

There used to be tons of Kmarts around here....now there is maybe 2. Where are they getting the money to buy Sears?

Alright, I did some checking around on it.

It looks as if the merger took place for 11 Bil., creating the nations 3rd largest retailer.
Sears stores will take over many of the Kmart locations and Kmart will begin to carry some of Sears' major brands.

It's a matter of survival. Kmart has restructured, they're doing better. Sears' sales have been iffy for years. Walmart is putting a hurting on all the large "shoebox" stores, they would like to control the world, imo. Kmart has M.S. line, clothing, Sears has the hardware and appliances. I hope they kick wallybutt. Dan

at least Kmart has brand names now...
You dont know how many times I got pickedon for wear "trax" brand shoes...

We had 2 kmarts by our house 1 Kmart turned into a Kohls.. It'd be nice to have yet "one more" place to buy craftsmsn tools from. I went to sears sunday to buy a circular saw, they were out of the one I wanted, but Orchard Supply had it...

Old Sam Walton would be rolling in his grave!! I remember the "We saved xxx American jobs by buying xxxx from xxxxx in (city, state), USA" signs. That's what helped get a lot of people hooked on Wal-Mart. Now they are the biggest single importer of Chinese goods in the US!! 2/3 of the products in the store are made in China, and more than half the other third is made somewhere else. I would bet no more than 1/10 of the products they sell are US made. Not all their fault, but enough to make a difference!!
