G body coil springs

Im putting a 454 in a 81 malibu. I have done this swap in the past and used front coil springs out of a diesel g body. I see that moroso makes springs for this swap although it says for drag use only. This car wont be a daily driver but will see street use, is there a particular reason i couldn't use these springs on the street? Or are they just covering themselves legally, by stating drag use only?

Not a case of liability- the springs are tall and wound w/a smaller wire to get the front end up relatively easy yet allow it to settle back down for better aero.

In a street app, they'd pogo pretty bad and depending on the shocks, could bottom out fairly easily.

I've used 6-cylinder springs in both F- and G-bodies w/no problem. Car sat a little lower, but no issues w/alignment or bottoming, etc.

V8 springs should be plenty for a BBC w/alum. heads.

Otherwise, there are springs spec'ed for the BBC from the beginning, like Landrum, etc.

I have a BBC in my 79 Malibu with the orginal v8 springs. It only went about 2" lower which is fine with me. If you go over to maliburacing.com they have a spring chart for moog replacement springs and there forum is helpfull for g body stuff.
