G-body Rear-end gears

Hey, can anyone tell me any details on the gears used in a '84 Pontiac Grand Prix? or where to look for numbers or to get info? I would like to install a higher set of gears to work with the 350 enigine and turbo-350 tranny, and am just wondering what I'm dealing with. Thanks for any help.

Oh, and I know it's not POSI if that helps any (when in the air, turning one wheel turns the other backwards)

I have a 86 cutlass supreme G - body, it came with snail like 2.14:1 gears, after some thinking, I went to my bro in law`s who had a 3.23:1 posi rear out of a 83 firebird t/a, all I did was swap guts from the t/a rear to mine, I`ve did this on another rear for a friend of mine since, but looked at 32 junkyard camaro Z28`s and firebird t/a`s before I found one, the F-body rear end codes are on the passenger side front axle tube, they`re both 7.5 diameter, and will last decently as long as your not running a lot of power and have slicks on the car. the 88 and up F-body`s used a aussie rear that won`t interchange. here are the codes for the F-body rears.
Year Code Ratio

The diff has to be set up right, toe, heel, backlash and etc. and to keep the rear from popping, use GM limited slip differential additive, around $11 from any GM dealer.

I bought a new Cutlass in 84 and the optional "performance" rear was a 2.41, I had a good laff at that.
