I have a G M engine block casting #3970010,what is it and what is the info per this # ?

The "010" block is a very common SBC block. Can be 4-bolt or 2-bolt (performance and heavy duty applications got the 4-bolt bottom end), it has a 2-piece rear main seal, 4" nominal bore size, and a large journal crank (there are small journal (SJ), large journal (LJ) and 400 SBC journal sizes).
