Don't mess with breathing isocyonates just bad news, period.
I bought a supplied air breathing system before I ever got started on my project.
I decided my toyota daily driver was a good starting point to learn on.
Chose a single stage urethane in white to allow for cutting and buffing the paint as well as hiding the most defects.
I used a harbor freight tools sata copy gun (43430) for the primer but a quality Anest Iwata lph400 for the final paint.
I can't stress what a nice gun the Iwata is.
The results to me are acceptable considering it was painted in a shop with no
booth and poor lighting.
I did this for the learning experience, not to save money.
