This is the same with copper. If you look at copper set up the pipe is good to substantial PSI but the joint is not (Don't get me wrong, it's certainly good for most lower psi applications).
I do not have any idea who put that thought into your head but it is incorrect.
A 3/4" pressure ( not a dwv fitting) fitting sweated with 95/5 solder is rated at 505# @ 200f.
