gas cap leaks
I have a new street rod and the aftermarket gas tank (I don't know the brand). The cap seems to fit tight but when it is full the gas runs out when I accelerate or turn right.
Do the gas caps need to be vented? Can you recommend a good cap? Thanks |

re gas cap leak
Change the cap first. The tank should have a factory built vent on it allready. You don't add vents. It might be the wrong cap or it is bad, I had the same problem on my 70 model, I just changed the cap and I had no more problems.

More likely
a bad seal on the cap. Or even the wrong cap for that tank.
