Gas fouling plugs

Help with engine gas fouling plugs. This is a new engine 427 sbc 500hp alum. head 750 holey carb. chevy HEI with 50,000 volt coil. This engine will gas foul the plugs if you let it idle for a short time over a few times starting and runing. I am using ac#41-629 plugs. Thanks Turkey

if the carb is running mega rich it will foul the plugs. Try setting the mixture and idle screws again.

make sure your coke is open all the way, carb may be leaking into intake at idle

If your just running it for a few minutes and not letting it get hot. Doing that several times in a row you will foul plugs with that engine. I know because it happend to me. Pulling my car in and out of the shop and not driving it or letting it get to operating temp kills plugs in a engine like yours. I thought I had some other problem like carb or tuning spent a bunch of time and money when I relized it was the short run times over and over. This may not be the case with you but it was for me.
