gas issue

i have a 85 el camino with a 4.3 tbi. i replace it with a 350 carb. do i have to remove the old pump in the tank to install a elctric low psi pump on the side

you could use the same electric pump but you will need a regulator and a bypass so the excess fuel can go back into the tank. You only need about 4-6 psi for a carb. The pump you have now makes way too much PSI for a carb. I have a sbc 350 in an s-10 that still has the old electric fuel pump in the tank, and I put a mechanical pump on the engine, without removing the old pump. Most of the in line fuel pumps like to push fuel, not pull it. It is best to be mounted near/below the tank, if you go this route. Hope this helps!

thanks. but i tried a low psi pump electric n nothing happens
