I had always known Jon to be rather conservative and reserved in his speaches here, but that one had a little more of Centerline's temperment to it, although if what I have heard (and occasionally witness to a toned-down, HR.com appropriate extent) be glad centerline didn't say what he'd like to.

That aside, don't advertise here, but feel free to discuss the technical and social aspects of hotrodding.

grouch -- I'll work on a smaller flash version tomorrow. I still have much to learn about converting between these various formats. And, I'm sure there are some tricks for making smaller-filesize movies.

Funny how the kids are back now that there is some controversy over someone building one of those beaters they seem to cherish...

It's called READING, children, I hope you were paying attention in school. The attack is over the shameless stuffing this so-called badboy image down our throats, under the guise of doing something for charity. Jon has every right to make parodies of their pictures or videos, it's called your First Amendment rights, popularized in the movie "The people VS Larry Flynt".

Larry runs a publishing company that produces Hustler magazine, and one of the things that got him in legal trouble was a cartoon of Jerry Falwell. It suggested things that this religious messenger was clearly against doing, and Falwell sued Hustler in the Supreme Court. Hustler countersued, saying Falwell was contesting Hustlers right to free speech, and won. They argued that someone in the public image can reasonably expect that not all people will like them, and some may want to poke fun at them or portray them in a negative way.

The very same thing happens whenever the Klan wants to come somewhere to spread their hate messages. According to our own Constitution, we must give them a venue to speak, whether the message is good or bad.

The guys at GMG surely had known this when they decided to post their monkey-spanking picture for all the world to see (and make fun of). Jon is perfectly within his... no, perhaps I should say ALL OUR rights to rip on GMG and the marketing crew responsible for this thread. I for one support his efforts 100% because HE is the admin for THIS site.... if YOU don't like (notice I know how to spell, cripes, even my 8 yr old daughter knows it is not L-I-E-K )dont let the door hit you in the ***** on the way out, and GOOD RIDDANCE!

Notice there has still been NO apology from the GMG crew or the marketers for putting this BS on OUR site??? In some ways I think that in this case negative publicity is also just fine with them, after all, they are supposed to be the badboys of hotrodding...fueling the fire maybe?

You know, it never ceases to amaze me that some people are just not educated enough to be able to express themselves without the use of four letter words. The post above is a perfect example of an immature person trying to say something without the communication skills necessary to do so.

Perhaps Wing Nut should start paying attention in school instead of surfing the internet and making a fool of himself. He not only seems to have a problem communicating without using profanity but he also can't spell. One has to wonder how many years he's spent in the 3rd grade.

It's showing up as a small image in a 384x288 window. I never bothered downloading the original, so I don't know what resolution it was.

Any reason not to encode the video as mpeg2, like a DVD?

I too normally don't read threads like this. The title just told me something is up and it would be advertising. After multiple pages I decided I would look at why their were so many posts. Eghww, glad I didnt' just eat lunch. I don't know which one he is, spank or monkey, but that one little spanker should find kurt bushs doc and get those ears pinned backed. And I think there were some pics of those millionares women he is bragging about in a few birthday threads and the I just don't get it thread. I think I will have to do a google image search for hot babe after seeing that pic over and over to balance things out. Along with sticky about advertising, a thread about if you are thinking about advertising real bad things can happen to you. Hopefully this will prevent some people from trying to advertise on this site if they can see the wrath that can possibly happen. Wow, never seen Jon like this before, but now know I don't want to hit the wrong nerve. I don't see why people think its good business to try to use this forum to advertise. Give people some usefull technical help without expecting something in return. When people trust your advice and remember you and need your services, they can easily click the link to your website in the pull down menu under your user name. No need to spam up the boards. I have been starting to try a diffrerent paint thanks to this board and its members recommendations. I think an apology would of been much easier then this, but we all know "Bad boys" don't cry or admit they are wrong. Even if they are putting up a front and are more into high dollar foreign crap instead of real american muscle and tough (dare I say bad) looks.
