Gas Prices
http://www.gaspricewatch.com/usgas_index.asp Ivan has caused gas to jump up .30 per gallon here.At 6:00AM it was $1.75,now at 4:30PM it is $2.05 a gallon. They can put 8000 gal. in the ground, something happens and then charge more for it without purchasing more.I hope they choke on their money.

Those prices are more in line with what we've been paying in the West. Just filled up at 1.94 for 87, a bargain, for Phoenix.

I've been filling up with ethanol blended gas for years here in Iowa. I like to think of it as reducing our dependancy on foreign oil, burn our corn.
Soydiesel is becoming more prevailant here also, I read an articile on the use of soydiesel in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa bus fleet it stated that when diesel fuel hit a certain price they switched to soydiesel and it makes the bus exhaust smell like french fries. Also the truck stop up the road from me is now selling a blend of diesel and soydiesel. |
