I just bought a Yamaha V Max this summer, supposed to do the 1/4 mile in 10 seconds, or so the ads used to say. I'm about 30 when I ride mine...

Well.... mine does not get 50+ mpg , usually low to mid 40's mpg... although our VW Jetta with diesel power gets 41 - 43 mpg with the a/c on.

A photo of my 11 yr old grand daughter on my 1800 for her first ride ever on a motorcycle. It was a short ride up the street and back a couple of times.

I've put some serious thought into one of those rockets...and at the moment i think I'm going to have to self defer. after riding a freinds GSXR 750 and seeing just how STUPID FAST they really are...120 mph without even getting into the real power. Then shortly after watching what i thought was another freinds last moments in my rear view mirror when he left his kick stand down.
I'm just not responsible enough to own one. like they told me years ago at hunters safety, I'd be a statistic.
