gas tank

i have a 1968 mustang and i have replaced the gas tank about 2 years ago due to rust in it.now it has rust in it again is there a easy way to fix this without replacing or taking out the tank.

You will have to remove the tank to clean it out properly. Here is what I do, I take the empty tank to a local radiator shop and get them to vat it for me. This gets rid of all the rust. Then I get them to coat the inside for me. They use a plastic type coating about a 16th of an inch thick. This keeps the tank from ever rusting again.
