If it were mine, I'd install the stock size and shape tank back in there. I'd run a 1/2" supply line and a 1/2" return line. You can use the return line in the event you need to reduce pressure to prevent overpowering the needle and seat in the carb (if you are planning to use a carb). Use a regulator that has a "return to the tank" port on it. Use 5 lbs max for a Carter AFB, Edelbrock Performer and Rochester Quadrajet. Use 6 lbs max for a Holley. I'm sure you can find several sources for a stock type tank, but just to get you started, here's a 17 gallon poly unit from Parr Automotive....
