gas tank neck

This does not pertain to a hot rod, my daily driver is a 98 lumina. Quite a while back someone tried to siphon gas out of my tank and damaged the little flapper in the neck. I did't think too much of it until now, when I have to go to inspection. I think I'm going to fail for this. Do they offer a replacement part for this or will I be looking at a new tank? Thanks Joe

gas tank neck

they check it here in middle Tennessee .
they make a piece to replace it , but it usually falls in tank after a while .
i cut mine off and grabbed a neck at junk yard and spliced with hose and clamps .
next time leave them a lighter , they might need it to see .

BOOM !

Actually i would check car-part.com to see if any of the local yards have one of those..the neck is seperate from the tank so should be fairly easy fix..
