There are several sending units depending on how your gage reads. 0-90 ohm and a reverse 90-0 ohm and I think the other is a 300 ohm (ford I think) They also come in 8 and 12 inch lengths. I just got mine from Speedway. Figure about 100 bucks +/- a little. You would have to have the bung welded in. I made my own and welded it in to my own aluminum tank.

Your Chevy looks better than my '31 A did when I bought it-loosely mounted boat tank in the trunk with all kinds of weird hoses, clamps and bits and pieces.

I went with a 16 gallon rectangular steel tank form Tanks,Inc. Didn't get it from Tanks directly. Those people were weird to deal with! Called the factory-couldn't pick it up, might not have one in stock, didn't know the price, didn't know their hours-even though they had a big ad with their info in Street Rodder.

I got mine form Yogi's in Iowa. Great folks to deal with, including returns ( I got the wrong sender). Make sure you get a roll-over proof vent. The sending unit was ordered separately and needs to match your fuel gauge to read properly. I run bizarre Faria gauges and it took us a while to figure out what Ohm range I needed. If you're using new or standard gauges the mfg. should have it listed.

PM me if you want photos.

This is the 14 gal tank (12" x 30") I'm putting on my new project. I got it here http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/...buggyfuel1.htm which seems to have a little better selection and slightly better prices than Speedway. This tank was $200 - with no sending unit but everything else ready to go.
