Pop is doing fine, thanks for asking. The last day of the Nats there was some minor vandalism against my car. Since NTBA event officials were in on it, I wanted the president to take a stand stating that messing with other's cars would not be tolerated. He felt I was airing NTBA dirty laundry in public and that might discourage prospective members, so he cut my access to both the NTBA forum and FB group. I just felt had this happened to his Budweiser-T it would have been deemed a high crime, but since it happened to a liberal left coaster, it should be considered a funny joke.

Sorry my PM box is full, but I rather discuss this on an open forum.

Bill, I'm sure Rolla just wants this to die, hence cutting off my access to NTBA forum and FB group. If you don't want the wrath of Rolla, you might want to let it die also.

Awesome thread and thanks for posting the link to all your photos.

Any history or info. you can share about the Miller Special and the Wooden T? As the owner of a stock body '27 RPU I know how cramped the interior is. The wooden T looks roomy... well relatively speaking.

Cecil Meiser is the owner of the BBC powered Woody-T from Washington State, hell of a nice guy and low key. He will be hosting a mini Nats in Yakima next summer.

Those cars are the epitome of hot rodding, but they don't look as though they would be that comfortable on a long haul. As one of those guys whose getting up in years I know my knee's and other body parts would be screaming in pain after just a few miles. So, how many of these cars where brought in on trailers as opposed to being driven from home and back, just curious?

Most came in/on trailers. Some drove over 1500 miles in their Ts. I didn't trailer mine as this year's event was just a bit over 100 miles from my home. I have driven my T 1100 miles one way to an event then 1100 miles back home. Your right though, not too comfy for long drives.

I drove a T that I finished 2wks prior from Indy to Tulsa with about 10mi of test driving. 1400 mi round trip. That was 40yr ago when I didn't know better. NEVER, did that again

I don't drive my T as much as I used to. It has been roaming the highways for 19 years and only has about 18,000 miles on it, so on average less than 1000 miles per year.

I know it's no T bucket but I finished up a full ground up build on my truck and it had about 20 miles on it took off for Southern Cal to the NSRA Western nationals. And to make matters worse we went down Highway 1. The only thing that happen on the trip was the hood latch broke. But man oh man how stupid that was!
