They sound good. I just prefer not to run one. I'll stay with my true double roller timing chain. If I wanted to upgrade from the timing chain, my next choice would be a belt drive.

What are you "poll" crazy tonight?

Who cares how things sound, it's how they work that counts.

I geuss Ill be the odd ball, I cant stand how they sound, I they sure dont sound like a blower under the hood to me.....espssially in a car that would have to have blower sticking out cause of low hood. No thanks, Ill keep the tried & true chain that doesnt make any noise.

I guess I'm a "function before form" type of guy. The only reason I'd use a gear drive is if it provided more power or reliability to my ride at a reasonable price. As far as using a "noisy" drive I have two problems. First, I don't want noise coming from under my hood. If something is going wrong, I don't want some dumb gear drive keeping me from finding out before my motor turns into a 35 cent piece of scrap iron. Second, I think its hilarious that we make fun of the guys who post those add-on noise makers on ebay (the ones that sound like you have a turbo on your rice-rod, but you actually don't) and then go on and on about how "cool" it is to have your gear drive moaning away so you can tell your friends its a blower! Hypocrisy, gotta love it.

Killer you'll like this one. When the bearings in my friends A/C compressor in his S-10 started going bad it made a whine naturally. Well people were constantly telling him his supercharger sounded awesome.

I don't mind the noise but I wouldn't use one for the reasons Killer stated, and because I'm a big fan of the sleeper appearance and sound.
