I have 4:11 gears in my 12 bolt posi. If I have a 4 series carrier what is the cheapest way for me to get the rear end gears down to a decent cruise number like 3:08s. Do I have to buy a whole unit? Who are the best mfgs? Noggin

You might consider a larger tire size. Borrow a friends wheels if they will fit in your wheel wells. I have just the opposit problem, 3.55 gears with 33x18.5x15 wheel/tire and I need 4.60+ to get them moving.

I need to know if you have a truck or car rear and what year it is . I may be able to help you otherwise the carrier will need to be replaced with one for a higher gear .

Noggin....Check in to some overdrive units. They work. Good speed shops have 'em.

It is out of a Camaro, so not a truck rear. Can't just put taller tires. Over drive units are big, heavy and expensive.
