I Need To Know The Gear Numbers In My Turbo 350 Trans . I Have 3.42 Gears In Rear 25.4 Tall Tires . At About 55 Mph My Speedo Is Reading 85 Mph Way Off Please Help . I Just Need To Get Close Thanks John

That's a pretty drastic error. You don't need to know the gear ratio of your trans as all TH-350's have a final drive ratio of 1:1. What you need to do is pull out your speedometer drive gear and count the teeth. Because your error is where the speedometer is reading high a little over 30%, you'll have to buy a new gear with about 6 fewer teeth than the one you have. Each tooth less will give you a 5% reduction in what the speedometer shows. These gears cost around $5 each.

Today I Took My Trans Apart Today An Change The Gears Like You Said , It Didnt Make Much Different ! I Notice The Gear On The Shaft Had The Groves On A Hard Angle , I Compaired They 2 Gears Big Differents 1 Had 16 Teeth The Other Had 10 , So I Put The 10 Tooth Gear On An Put On 2 Teeth More On The Cable Gear . Put All Together An Test Drove Lol I Got Lucky Rite On The Money ! Thank You For Your Help I Redone My Camaro Rebuilt Motor Trans An Rear An Painted It Not Perfect But Its My En .
