Welcome back, Mego, take care of the reflux because some of the symptoms are the same as a heart attack and it's hard to tell the difference. Keep popping them anti-acids and you'll keep it in tack. Mine really flares up if I eat right before going to bed or during the night and then go back to bed so I try not to put anything in my tummy an hour before sack time. I said I "try" I didn't say I succeeded every time. hahahaha

Good to hear you are doing better and can continue to do so with your healthier diet and quitting that damn smoking!

All I can say to anyone who smokes or doesn't protect them selves properly when working on these old cars or drinks too much or any other bad habit, you want to see your grand kids! Believe me, you WANT to see your grand kids. And if this doesn't pertain to you, you have no kids or already have grand kids, pick what ever you wish, you WANT to see your team win the World Series, you WANT to see your great grand kids, you WANT to do something, do all the right things so you can.

Brian

Good news, Geezer. Now you need to get away from the cig smoke and come out here for some tire smoke next fall.

i quit smoking 5 years ago, I have never heard anyone say they wish they had never quit. Aside from some weight gain, I am doing pretty good. Ask your Doc about prevacid, if I start getting acid anything I take a 10 day dose. It usuall works for 3-6 months before I have to dose again. Avoid the late snacks, specially if they petain to anything acidic, tomato sauce, orange juice, etc Pizza can rip me a new one. . Chocolate and peanut butter tear me up also. Take care of yourself, you gave us a scare!

Glad you're as reliable as your rods! My grandfather had his first heart attack in 96 when he was OTR. Killed his career, and he's had two heart attacks since, but you'd never know if I didn't tell you. Hope your close call doesn't ground you either

There are lots of different things that will damage your lungs, I am SOOOO thankful I listened to a lady working in the machine shop next to me back when I was 28 and really started protecting myself in this damn autobody industry that is FULL of nasties for the lungs.

I just lost a friend a few weeks ago to a damn bird feather "dust" that destroyed his lungs! He was letting doves go at weddings for goodness sakes!
