Gen VI GM Marine BBC distributor/intake question

Hello. Im new here but not new to wrenching.

Im looking at buying a fuel injected 2003 or 2004 GM Marine Gen VI 454 BBC for use in a hot rod. It was in a boat, and I was told that the engine suffered an oil pressure failure, lost power, and has unknown internal damage, but still turns freely. It is offered for a really attractive price. The rich owner just tossed in a new engine and wants this one gone.

I realize that it will require a complete rebuild and I plan to change cam/heads/pistons/rods/crank as needed.

My question is, as I am not familiar with newer fuel injected GM BB engines, does this engine come with a provision to use a distributor? Not having actually see this engine, I dont want to assume that it will take a dist.

I plan to use a carb with this engine. If it will take a dist, am I correct in assuming that 4 bbl intakes and HEI distributors for this engine are just run of the mill late model BBC stuff?

Thanks for any help you can give.
