Gen vs. Alt
I've got a 55 Ford Customline with a 272 that was originally a 6v. When I bought it, it had an aftermarket 12v. Alt. installed. The belts don't seem to line up very well and my Gen light, obviously, is always on. Anyone know of a place that sells 12v. Gen's or Alt's that fit the 272? I'd appreciate any advice at all. I've thought about just buying a remanufactured 6v. Gen. but I want to be able to install a decent stereo system...would that still be possible?
