general kinetics cams

I just found my old GK catalog from the late 70"s. If anyone needs cam info let me know.

A scan of it would be great to have in the data base here or at the Crankshaft Coalition wiki, even if it was just the Chevy section.

Scanners are often found built into copiers. You'd scan it and save it to your computer then upload it to the Hotrodders Photo Gallery here on the forum or an image hosting service for display.

Sounds like a plan. There is a surprising number of calls for specs on the GK cams as you may have seen.

Thanks for the effort.

I was cleaning house and found the catalog along with one from holly carbs. I almost tossed it but decided to see if they were still in business. Figured i would keep it and help out those who needed the info.

I don't believe so. They became part of Holley ca. 2007, then what became of them I cannot say.

That suks! I remember seeing them still listed in Summit about 10yrs ago they had a line of SBC cams with the same specs as Comps Magnum cams.
What about Cam Dynamics, didn't Crane buy them up for there Energizer line??

You know, I do believe I remember seeing that somewhere.

There's a guy who posts over at yellowbullet, speedtalk, etc, named UDHarold (UD for Ultradyne, I believe). He was the man behind several of the big-name cam companies and he has posted several times on the links between several of the cam makers, at least as far as his contributions to them- which were considerable. You might try a search for more info on it all.
