general kinetics cams (need specs)

have a General Kinetics cam like to find spec only # on cam are 274 and l cm 5 looks like a capble C with a m in the middle

General Kinetics C=chevrolet 1= small block M=solid lifter 274=advertised duration of intake lobe. Then usually a letter that denotes a revision of original pattern. A being the orig and B and later being revisions.

If you can find an old Crane cams book The General Kinetics grinds were for the most part similar to Crane Energizer series.

274 or cs 274 is often the number stamped on a stock replacement sbc cam.

Measure the lobe lift of 1 in and 1 ex lobe.
