OK, Not up on what Willy's Has for wiring at the regulator, But to wire a 3 wire, Internally regulated, GM SI type alternator, set it up as Follows:
- Terminal #1 = RED 10 gauge, To PROPER Fuse link And power at the solenoid terminal.
- Terminal #2 = RED 12 Gauge, To Horn relay power Or can be jumped to terminal #1.
- Terminal # 3 = BROWN 14 gauge wire To charge lamp Or if none, not used.
- Terminal (or) Lug #4 = BLACK 10 gauge, To ground buss at or near the Starter on Engine block.
That should get you up and charging.
