I installed a Geo Power Brake unit in my wife's 61 Ranchero. It seems to work great at stoping the car but her only complaint is it seems to have excessive pedal travel
...Almost half way down before the brakes engage. The unit sat around her uncle's shop for about 6 months before I got around to putting it on so it was pretty dry. After bleeding the brakes three times it still doesn't seem to get any better. Could I have the wrong length on the actuator rod? Maybe I should have bench bled the master cylinder before I started...anyone have an Idea

I would put a skid test on the car and if all brakes a working i would look at the rod. When you change from one car to the other sometimes it just don't fit the same. I guess you have made sure the brakes are adj right if not disc. ROY
