Get up and go got up and went??

I have been looking foreword to the cold weather to jump on my projects and all I can do is walk out into the garage and just look??? I am overwhelmed I guess?? I did cover up one the engines I was working on with plastic. Checked all the running vehicles for antifreeze levels. and oil and trans fluid levels. Not that it really matters yet but I was hoping to make some plan as to how I would tackle the work??? This IS my hobby and IS supposed to be fun but its very disappointing to just do nothing all week and just wait for the weekend to do anything on my cars. Any suggestions guys/gals??

Hobbies are hard to fit in these days

Decide which project is the most important to get working on, and which part of that project to start with, and most importantly set a time to work on it, take them on one at a time, that is the only way I can get things done.
I have 3 project vehicles, go to work 10 to 12 hours a day, remodeling my house top to bottom, landscaping the entire yard, have 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, 1 cat, Oh and a wife but she helps out quite a bit, or maybe it is me that helps out, I am sure a lot of you know all to well the busy life I am living.
I just divide up my spare time and take things one at a time.

You got it made tm454, get out there and get going, no stress and remember it is a hobby enjoy it.

I know your pain tom.
I dont even have a garage and 2 items I sold on Ebay seems to have been on by 2 different non payers. Takes a lot to keep the faith. Just keep on reading these posts, shop for parts and look at other peoples finished projects. Thats what keeps me going. HG

I'm with you there,I go out , putter around, look at whats left to do on the vette, get disgusted, and go back in the house.I've found out that i have the wrong intake, too restrictive an exhaust, and need a stall torque to have it where i want it, now i have to sell off some extra parts to buy the parts i need.
the body is sanded, there is no windshield in yet, the entire interior had to be swapped out yet,
IT seems we dont notice all thats done already , just what needs to be done yet.and to top it all off, my family think i'm nuts to spend so much time and money on a car.. yeah right.how do you explain "cause its a vette"to your 75 year old mom??mike

Hey TM...I'll trade ya attitudes. I haven't seen my car for about 6 mos. now and it was supposed to take 2 weeks to get it done. I was hoping to have it back on the frame by the time I had my arm surgery. Now that I had the surgery, therapy three times a week, medication, I don't even feel like going out to the garage and work on anything. I have the fridge, cable, telephone, all the necessities. I have everything except ambition. That pisses me off. Maybe when I get back to work here in a couple of weeks things will change and I'll have a different attitude. Keeping my fingers crossed on that. I need to do some worlk on my Silverado this winter so hopefully I can get my butt in gear and get it done before spring.

Thanks for responding

Hello there Kevin, please don't push yourself to hard with that arm Buddy! Don't get to doing to much to soon at work or play.

Hemmie Dude, how ya been man? So what your saying is keep on keep-in on! At some time it will be done, right?

406chevelle and mike, my most important project is the 65 chevelle but the 37 need wired and started and an exhaust.....ect

and then there is the 64 chevelle, it needs floors and a motor dropped in and brakes and seats mounted and gas tank mounted and exhaust....ect

then the wife's 69 Lemans needs the paint stripped and repainted and interior installed...ect

Just like that one dudes moniker says 2manytocount!! So little time and I want to enjoy all of it! After all it is MY HOBBY! This should not be stressful!

the plan has started to take fourm

Well it sounds like you will be focusing on the 65 chevelle, have fun, ...thinking about the rest of your projects is not going help you get the 65 done or them.

I just got done cleaning my garage up so I can focus on building my 400sbc, it has been sitting half way through a prefit assemble while I jump from one project to another trying to beat the weather, I guess I should'nt be giving any advice on focusing on one project.

I will be a nice guy and take the 65 chevelle off your hands (always wanted one) and you can finish up your wifes 69 Lemans, that would be two projects out of your hair.
JK.... LOL

Is the 53 chevy in your gallery yours, a full picture would be cool, from what I can see it look like a damn nice car.

The 53 Chevy is my daily driver. I have three pro-street cars, the 53 chevy and two chevelles, a 64 an a 65. I got the 64 chevelle unburied and out from under the trees and ready to go into the garage before the snow flies. I have to power wash it before it gets inside the garage. The 37 Dodge has been sitting for 4 years now. The 65 chevelle I brought home last Feb. and the 64 chevelle I bought summer of 2002. I am still trying to get the digital camera and the memory thing to work??? This is the second docking station I bought and it still won't let me download my pictures from the memory card to the computer???? I really don't spend much time messing with the problem, its frustrating as hell and I don't want to be stressed!!!!! I will let one of the kids work it out when they need to download pictures then I will be able to use it too.
