Gettin' there (projects)

Well folks, the Mustangs are nearing completion. Here's what we;ve accomplished so far:

The '95 has been fired up. It doesn't have a belt yet, but it does run, LOL. All the car needs now is the power steering hooked back up, and a proper length belt.

The '89 has a new cam, new heads, headers, and a bunch of little polished pieces for vanity. It still needs an intake.

I give it a week or two before we're out enjoying them.

How close are you guys to being "finished"?

My C5 auto is sitting in the passengers seat right now waiting for a clear day to tow it back to the genius who charged me $400 to rebuild it wiht a shift kit.

I don't suppose a loose output shaft constitutes an installation error on my part, so he's gonna make it right and put it back in the car for me so I don't have to deal with that crap for the 3rd time.

Other than that, I'm heading to summit in a few weeks for some guages and some mufflers.

Right now, I'm focused on getting it running safely. "DONE" will come in the next few years.

It's been fun sitting in the driver's seat with the radio on making car noises with a beer in hand though. Fun to do when I have a few people over when the folks go out of town.

another reason to do the whole thing is that it will be worth more. instead of a 4 lug car. im even puting the v-8 brake conversion with new master cylinder, power booster, disk brakes and 4 piston caliper. good to see your doing it the right way

Where are you getting the brake conversion from? I know I can do the Granada disc swap for the front but Id rather just buy the whole kit if possibl (wishfull thinking Im sure lol!!)

Carbed, I thought you got lost. Haven't seen you on for awhile. I still have a long ways to go. I just got the rear section of the 38 done (except for filler) all new metal welded in clear across the back end. LOts of it was ate away with rust. I'll post a pic later.

yeah lee im geting the conversion out of a 68 gt and i made a mistake about the post its a 2 piston caliper and im geting spindle and all for 150 of a mustang guy i know. the best way to do it is originonal equipment instead of cheapo reproduction parts. oh and the i found out where my rearend came out of. its out of 427\428 68 mustang so it could even be out of a gt 500 for all i know sorry theres no place that sell the setup that cheap but just wondering any mods on the granada conversion and what year

By the way, Mustangman1968, do you have any pics of your car? I'd like to see your setup so I can get some ideas.
