Getting to the back side of a weld

How do you protect the back side of a weld? For example, if you MIG welded a patch into a quarter panel, you more than likely would not be able to get to the back side of that weld to protect it from rust. I would be afraid that it would rust out again. What is your opinion on this?

Most likely you can shoot some primer (epoxy) in there..I have used one of those engine cleaner spray guns as it does not have to be pretty just coated..Also there are some cavity waxes for rockers and door posts that can be used..Anyway that works is fine..
