Congrats on a job well done... Be careful when reinstalling all your parts... Tape the edges to try and prevent chips

Well, thanks for the great response guys, But I cant take all the credit, first off, I did not paint it, my uncle did, he's been doing body work for years, and has taught me so much about this stuff since I started helping him out around the shop. But I do have lots and lots of time doing body work and learning. LOTS OF BLOCKING it out over and over to get it straight.
As for panel painting, thats the way we decided to do it to make it have no tape lines and give that factory apearance. hasnt been that hard with his help and tips of how to put everything back together and get it all lined up. I have learned theres nothing like lots of 2 inch tape over the areas it might scratch and using paintsticks to help make good gaps. I've been pulling a late night tonight, puttting on a bunch of trim, and chrome, and windows, and weatherstripping. Been making one great bumper out of two rear bumpers, one of them is almost supurb finish, but has effed up brackets, and the other has great brackets, but looks like crap....just now got it together, bout to hang it now. Anyway, I'll keep you updated and be sure to post pics

Well, I got more pics now. I'ts came a ways since the last pics, but still by far not done yet.
I'll just link the pics below, the'y're pretty huge resolution, dont want anybody on dialup to suffer.....plus if it opens in seperate window it should resize to fit the screen, or enlarge so you can see the detail (with xp at least) http://www.fourcornermetal.net/skeev...20(Custom).JPG http://www.fourcornermetal.net/skeev...20(Custom).JPG http://www.fourcornermetal.net/skeev...20(Custom).JPG http://www.fourcornermetal.net/skeev...20(Custom).JPG |
