Im home from work today with bronchitis and the weather sucks. So, i decided it would be a good time to rip out the interior in my 41 Chevy project. Turns out i shoulda stayed inside. After pulling out the backseat i found the cancer. basically all the metal under the seat is gone. got me really dicouraged, so i packed it up and came back inside. not sure what to do from here. maybe its because im sick....hopefully i'll be less disgusted when i'm feelin better.

Any one got before and after pics of their cancer? Maybe seeing what other people have done will make me feel better.

everybody gets overwhelmed from time to time.. looking at some of the work that these guys have done ,, will make you wish that you had a ton of cash so that they will do it for you...

bet yours don't look as bad as mine ...I have a ton of work to do ,, and a lot of things still to make....still i plug along ,,,,,, SLOWLY ....

now u got some rust.. but like bob said everone goes through it... just keep plugging away.. i walked away from my bucket for 3 wks, then i thought i have alot of money sitting in the garage and if i sell i'll take a beating... 10 months later it was done and still having a blast

From the looks of the car I don't think you should have been surprised at the amount of floor rot. The rust can be fixed, all it's going to take is a bunch of work on your part. This is an opportunity to learn to weld if you don't already know how. The car is in need of a new floor pan. Every one gets discouraged now and then and when that happens just walk away from it for a few days or as long as it takes. When you come back prioritize what you need to do and break it up into smaller projects. Once you get some of those smaller projects completed you will have a better feeling about the car that will carry over to other projects on the car.

Cant really say i was surprised. it was just worse than i hoped for. Think i was more discouraged because of how sick i am...shouldnt have ventured outside today. Im much more optimistic now. Gotta take care of my own sickness before i can take care of the cars.

Just think of how nice it will be once its all replaced with NEW floor pans that you fabbed and installed yourself!!
