Gloss or matte finish for the dash in 56 chevy?

I am painting my 56 chevy and am debating whether I should use a gloss or matte paint for the dash. It will be a show/driver car.

Will the reflection and glare be much of a problem with a high-gloss metallic silver dash?

Thanks,

They were painted with high gloss at the factory when they were new.......then we would wax them. I think they look good that way...whats a little glare gonna hurt? Get some sun glasses, LOL.

Henry is right. For the dash in my 57 pickup had it painted matte black and i like it alot but it all come down to personal preference.

Who cares what it looks like while you're driving..........I'm with Henry and vote for gloss to show off the dash.

One car that I had the dash was so shiny that it made it impossible to see out of the winshield from sun glare. I stopped at a fabric store and bought a yard of cheap felt for abou $3-4 to put on it when I was driving. Worked great and I still had my nice shiny dash and the ladies at the store never bit either
