Glove box latch
Does anyone know how to remove a glove box latch from an AD Chevy pickup? I have located one in good condition but had no luck in getting it out. Thanks.

Push button latch???
Most of those early GM used a Ushaped clamp that is held onto the latch button by one screw.

yep. theres a screw on the backside. remove it, pull the clamp off, and then push the button and pull the latch out. it won't come out if it is in the locked position, because it won't clear the hole with the jaw open

Thanks guys...I did feel on the back and felt the screw but couldn't get it to turn and think i might have stripped it. I can get a new one for $25 but I'm kind of a cheapskate...lol
