glue/adhesive to use ..

Hello.. I'm not versed in the correct wording for this stuff ,so . tho. I'm sure it's in the search and been said before.. I'm shoot'n blanks

well I am installing a sub box in the center console of my fiero. and have to use a spacer ring(s) wood rings made of sawdust board/fiberboard it's finer than partical board..
anyways to match the interior that light gray and red.. I bought some vinyl from joann's fabrics.. in a red thats a little darker but close enough..
my question is.. what to use to glue the vinyl to the wood ring..
gorrilla glue?? adhesive???
the ends will be hidden, but the outer face of the rings will be seen..
should I glue that face area first let dry.. then cut and fold the ends over and glue that??
the area that will be seen will be at most 1.5" outerface of the ring. the sides are covered by the box it'll up against and the other side the speaker..
thanks for help on this...
