gm 10 bolt...ratio to high....what to do?

ok ive got a 65 impala 283 with a 4-speed muncie and the rear end has 3.36 gears and there to high for the lack of hp the 283 pushes and ive got a 4.11 posi out of a 84 comaro, can i swith the gears and the locker i gotta grind the welds off the brackets and use the comaro housing under my impala suspension!???...if i go with the housing swap what am i getting my self into?

The internal parts won't swap, and a 3rd-gen Camaro rear might be a little narrow for a big car, not to mention they're not too strong.

I'd just put new gears in yours, or find a junkyard '65-'70 rear end and fix it up while you drive.
