GM 5.7L crate engine suffix codes

Just joined the group, and already I'm impressed!

Here's my project. Trashed a Mercruiser (1991, GM 5.7L) engine on my boat. I purchased a new long-block on Ebay from a third party at a reasonable price with the following castings and codes:

Block 10243880 = ZZ type engine with roller cam "Hecho en Mexico"
Heads 14102193 = Swirl port with 12 bolt configuration "Hecho en Mexico"

Here's where I need some help to determine what I've got.
Suffix code stamped in the front = 1M0628, 4R34
I've got the "made by GM in Mexico on June 28" figured out, but the 4R34 has me stumped.

Put it on my engine stand, turned it upside down, removed the pan to look at the crank and camshaft to confirm if it was a steel roller (it was). Found these codes stamped where the fuel pump lobe would have been:
Camshaft AC R17 and 177117, don't have a clue what the specs are.
Crank 14088526 = Standard 350cid from 1986 on

So, my big question now is, does anyone know what the exact specifications are for this camshaft, or perhaps an overall "Hecho en Mexico" GM crate engine decipher code reference? Do these numbers indicate the rotation direction for the engine. Boat engines are configured to run both directions to balance a two prop application. I'm looking at a single prop marine standard (LH) rotation.

I'm not looking for a high performance application here, just a solid fuel efficient engine replacement with low end torque with around 4K top end.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Mexico engine code

Hi, Need help

Impressive information on this thread, Purchased a 1981 corvette. New engine put in 2003, The VIN # 10066086 is on the block. I have seen descriptions for 36 not 86. I have looked really close trying to make sure I have read correctly.

The engine is IM 05283 VP. The first seems to make sense. May 28 2003, I believe. what would the VP indicate.
