The best 7.5" gears you can buy. This rear end is plenty strong.
Good to know - thanks. They are OEM, so I'm happy to learn that.

BGH - please check my math here: so I can buy an Eaton 28 spline 7.625" posi carrier, 28 spline 2WD S-truck axles (OEM or aftermarket), swap my ring gear over and put it all in my existing 26 spline 7.5" axle?

Yes. Just remember to check the backlash and contact pattern before you remove anything from the original rear end and take pictures of the pattern on the drive and coast side. That way you will know how to set up the gears when you put them in the other housing. You will most likely have to reset the pinion depth and backlash. You will have to set the bearing preload.

Just buy a posi for the 26 spline axles and use the existing stock 26 spline axles.
Much ado about nothing.
