GM C/K1500 cd player removal

Does any one have experience in removing a cd player from a C/K GM pickup. I need to take mine out to get it checked and I am not sure how it comes out of the dash. It is a 1996 Chevrolet. If someone has instructions it would sure help. I know this is a little off beat but couldn't think of anywhere else to check for information on this subject. Thanks for any help that can be forwarded.

Steve

Doc here,

If it's stock, and like the last one I did...

All that is needed is Remove the Dash False Face plate, behind that the radio sits in a "Plastic Well" ..Can't remember if it had 2 screws or clips, either way remove those, slide it forward enough to unplug the power and Audio cable AND remote amp wires (if optioned) and the antenna connector. Then just slide the radio the rest of the way out of the dash.

Doc
