Has anyone bought the GM 350 H.O. Crate motor out there? Are you you happy with it? I was thinking about one to power a '65 Impala Convertible (3650 lbs.) Or should I spend another $1000.00 and buy a 383 Crate?

I helped my son install one in his '73 Monte Carlo. He's put 2K miles on it and loves it. I'll probably buy one for the wife's '70 Chevelle wagon. You can't beat the warranty..3yrs/50K miles.

I have a 330 HP GM crate motor in my 1991 pontiac firebird with a 700r4 transmission and a set of 4:10 gears and i love it. Ive had the motor little over a year now and ive havent had any problems out of it.

My buddy has that in his 84 Camaro. It dynoed 288RWHP and 318RWTQ in 110 degree weather here in Phoenix about 5 weeks ago. Run's 13.6x's @ the track consistently. Definitely a solid motor.

The GM Crate engines are the best value in the world new is new and rebuilt is just another rotting old engine. If you want a bit more HP take a look at the ZZ4 engine a few of my buddies have them and they say best dollars they have spent.
