GM crate engine problems
I just found hotrodders.com because I was looking for other people that have had problems with these crate engines and how they have been able to get any help. My own problem is with a 502 HT with 3,800 miles on it and we have discovered that some foreign objects have been floating around on top of the intake valves. We think that they are oil galley plugs although it is hard to tell for certain you can see where there is a place for an allen wrench. We have three of these and they all look the same. Apparently one finally broke apart enough to pass by the valve and create problems. GM's position is that these are foreign objects and therefor not covered by the warranty. They are to big to get past the carb and either had to fall into the intake without being noticed or come from the factory that way. We think that they accidently or not got put into the head at the factory. Any ideas?
