Gm engine interchangeability
I have a 41 Dodge truck with an early 70s Camaro front end grafted on. It's currently set up for a big block Chevy. I have an opportunity to buy an Olds 455 with tranny that was in a Pontiac Trans Am. Has different or special mounts. With these mounts, will the Olds engine bolt into my setup? I have some big block Chevy mounts as well - would they bolt to the Olds engine so I could just drop it in? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, John |

Get the frame brackets and mounts for an Olds 403 powered '78-'81 Firebird or a '75-'77 Olds Omega with an Olds V-8. Engine swap headers for dropping the 455 into a 403 powered 'Bird may also be available and fit your setup. The 455 is taller and wider than the 403 so 403 headers won't work but the mounts should.
