GM front clip, rack and pinion conversion?

Hi, asking this for a friend with 38 chevy and 84 monte carlo front clip suspension. Is there a rack and pinion conversion available for these? His goal is to get rid of the 500 steering box so that he can move the frame horns back and get rid of the ugly bump in the front fenders. Is there any other modification he should consider? possibly another steering box swap?

Any ideas or leads on conversions would be appreciated.

Barnes
