Question GM Power Seat Wiring

Trying to wire up a power bucket seat.

It it from a pontiac grand am with the switches on the side of the seat.

It has a plug under the seat that originally powered the seat, it has 8 prongs, I have tried powering the prongs, & grounding the seat belt bolt , with no luck at all, I can not even make 1 motor growl.

Any help or suggestions would be apreciated

Thanks
Ron

Update

I tore apart the plug. There are 6 pins not 8 ( sorry for mistake)

3 pins have smaller wire ( I traced 1 to the seat belt switch)

3 Larger diameter wire 2 orange 1 black

Using black as ground & 1 orange as positive I got movement in the motors 2 of the 3 motors moved but only in one direction

Trying the other orange wire, nothing happend

Any other help or suggestions

Thanks
Ron

It should work by attaching orange and black main leads from the seat to "+" & "-" respectively. You have either a bad switch or all the motors are fried! I vote for the former. Find the problem the old fashioned way. Hook up the power and get out your trusty multi-meter and start chasing voltage downstream - main leads at the switch, flick a switch one direction and test the voltage in that lead, and continue this until you zero in on the cause.
