gm rearend identification
I have a rearend I want to use in my rod but not sure what I have, it is a gm PDH K180 GMK10 15555679....... can anyone help me identify what I have??

Go to www.novaresource.com, click on "site map", click on "axle codes"....part way down the page are pictures that show how to ID the different size rear ends by the casting identifiers.
The Casting #'s you posted won't lead to any kind of ID, the only codes that would do that are stamped into the forward side of one of the axle tubes.
