GM steering column question

I've got a GM column in my street rod and I want to change it out to one with the dimmer switch on the turn signal lever, does anyone know what year I should look for? I need one with : column shift, tilt, ignition switch, flashers and dimmer, also does anyone have a wireing diagram for changing out a floor mounted dimmer to a column mounted dimmer,
Thanks,
Denny.

I have a 1990 model Chevy Astro column that I intend to use on my hot rod project.
Those columns have the function that you request, but the same lever also have wiper/washer and cruise control.

Have a look at ebay. Often when tey sell used columns or levers for columns they list up all model years the part fits. Then you know what to look for.

I don't know if any of the older and cleaner looking GM columns have the dimmer switch.

EZ wiring told me connecting the dimmer wires to the column was no problem, because their wires had the same colors as GM's. So you just route then up to the column instead of down to the floor dimmer switch. But it will help if you have the column connection halves with a few inches of wire from the donor car's harness.
Other harnesses probably have the same colors too, I guess.

if your ok with the wipers being on the lever, you can get a non cruise lever to replace the cruise lever. it just pulls out.

Very nice to know!
I must replace that lever on my '90 column anyway, because it's broken.
Do you know what year/models that had that column with no cruise control?

pretty much any 80s model GM rear wheel drive cars or trucks.
i think autozone may have them in the help section.
you should be able to get one in either chrome or black.
